Join our league!

The Puget Sound Swimming Association meets three times each year. The Spring meeting is when our membership is allowed to make changes to the structure and operation of the league, to make necessary changes to our constitution, by-laws, and rules of competition, to plan the following season starting in September including selection of host teams for league-wide meets, election of officers, and accepting any new or returning YMCA or non-YMCA members through a letter of request.

Any team may request membership by letter to the PSSA at the Spring meeting.

Any YMCA team requesting membership will be considered permanent once approved by the membership.

Any non-YMCA team must resubmit a request for membership each subsequent year at the May meeting in order to stay a member in the PSSA.

Membership is $15.00 per team per season (September - January). Other meets following the conclusion of the season are scheduled, but not sanctioned by the league (e.g. Rainbow Classic, February, Spring Splash, May, Summer Sizzler, July).

Any team wishing to find out more information on the PSSA is welcome to attend this and other meetings or email any coach or commissioned member (These addresses are located at left in the Coach Directory).

The Fall meeting is scheduled in August to finalize plans for the upcoming season, to finalize meet schedules, and to refresh any new league-wide or USA Swimming rule changes. Host teams also give out information for the Fall Festival (north and south), the first league meet of the season.

The January meeting is held as close to the start of the new year as possible. This meet is held to confirm awards for the season, including the league-wide A & B Championships meet, the Top Ten, to prepare for YMCA Regionals and Nationals for any YMCA teams, and a committee is appointed to create a preliminary schedule for the following season.
